Knowledge Exchange

What is Knowledge Exchange?

FTC plays an important role in supporting its member institutions through research events, dedicated symposia and conferences in preparation for external assessments such as the Research Excellence Framework (REF) and the forthcoming Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF).

Key speakers will illustrate their experience of working within Knowledge Exchange through industry and enterprise, social engagement and community involvement.

The talks will be followed by a Q&A session and themed round table discussions.

The FTC Conference brings together educators, established and early career researchers, postgraduate students, practitioners and industry professionals.

Conference contributions are double-blind peer-reviewed with selected papers featuring in the accompanying conference publication. In addition to research presentations, conferences feature invited keynote speakers from education, industry and related sectors.

The Research Event supports and facilitates presentation and networking opportunities for MPhil and PhD students engaged in fashion and textiles related research in the United Kingdom. This event takes place at different Association member institutions and honorary organisations on an annual basis.
