Admin Support
We would like to say thank you to Heather Siverns, who has been with us for many years supporting finance and since October working with us on administration, she is leaving us due to other work commitments. Heather has kindly supported us in recruiting a new administrator and is currently doing a hand-over to Heidi Summers and we would like to welcome her to the FTC. Heidi is contactable at the same email address secretary@ftc-online.org.uk
Steering Group and Treasurer role
We are also sad to announce that Kerry Curtis will be leaving the FTC and therefore the steering group and the treasure role from the summer period due to her taking up a new role as Dean of Communications at the Royal College of Art. Kerry has made a massive contribution to the FTC over a number of years and she will be missed, we wish her much luck in her new role.
Conference
As noted the conference at The University of Leeds Futurescan 5: Conscious Communities will now run on 7/8 September 2022 call for papers will be sent out soon.
Post-Graduate Research Event
This is being held on Friday 30th April 21 and it will be held as an online event hosted by GSA and supported by members of the steering group. We were pleased to receive applications from 26 doctoral candidates from across 15 institutions and they are all able to join the event due to it being online. The subjects coming through are diverse with topics as diverse as hair and with the largest area being sustainability.
